The Jewel of Autumn

 I look forward to pomegranates making their appearance at the grocery store every fall.  They are so delicious and healthy.  "During their 4000 year history, pomegranates have been symbols of prosperity, hope, and abundance in every time period, and part of the world. They have inspired historical leaders, brilliant authors, and famous artists. Their presence has been recorded in history, mythical lore, and artistic and literary symbolism, and classic art."  If you follow the link there are even examples of arts and crafts using pomegranates.  A pomegranate doesn't last long enough at my house to be turned into art :-)
